Invoice Template

Recently our invoices have had the GST printed as a line item in the body of the invoice, as well as listing it at the bottom.  I have looked through the template and there isn't a box that I can delete.  Any suggestions?

Invoice Template

Hi JLeavitt, let’s work on ensuring GST appears only once in the tax section of the invoice.

The issue you are experiencing suggests that there are settings or custom fields within the invoice template, or that GST is applied in the item setup. To resolve this, follow these steps:

  1. Open your Item List by navigating to Lists and selecting Item List.
  2. Double-click each item you use in your invoices.
  3. Verify if GST is being manually added or if the tax code associated with the item is incorrectly set up.
  4. Ensure that the tax code is accurately set.
  5. Correct the tax setup if necessary.

Once the items are correct, confirm that the template does not include GST in the body as an extra column or field.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to Lists and select Templates.
  2. Locate and select the template you’re using, then click Edit Template.
  3. Go through the body of the template.
  4. Ensure there are no custom columns or fields that cause the issue.
  5. Edit any fields causing duplicate GST entries.
  6. At the bottom of the template design window, ensure that the sales tax summary is visible in the footer and not duplicated elsewhere.
  7. Save your changes.

I’ll ensure this conversation remains open for any future updates and discussions.

Invoice Template

All of our items are setup with GST, and it doesn't show on the screen when making invoices, it only shows up when it prints
