Hi there,
I'm glad you're reaching out to us with your question here in the Community. I'll shed some light on this for you.
QuickBooks Desktop has some features that are currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online. I can see how having the option to assign custom pricing to your customers would be very convenient for your business. At this time, this isn't a feature in the Online version of QuickBooks.
As a workaround, you can set up the same inventory item with multiple price levels. Here's how:
1. Click the Gear icon.
2. Click Products and Services.
3. Click New.
4. Enter the name of your inventory item, followed by a numbered system (e.g. Hats #1, Hats #2, Hats #3, etc.)
5. Enter the Price pertaining to the inventory item.
6. Click Save.
Using a numbered system for your inventory means that you can select the same product with various prices.
Keep in mind, however, that this will separate your inventory items for reporting purposes.
We're always looking for new ways to improve our products. I'd be happy to submit your feedback regarding this feature to our engineering team for review.
If you've got any other questions, please let me know.
Have a great day!
I use QB online.. I want to export to xl what my customer would pay, using a price list I made that gives him 20% off the sales price.
OR - If I have customers who would pay 40% off the sale price - I want to export his prices to xl
Thanks,
Kathy C
Hi kathyC2,
Thanks for joining us here. The Export data tool in QuickBooks Online enables you to export to Excel many reports and lists. You also have the option to download other data to your local hard drive, such as Estimates, Purchase Orders, Customer statements, Products and Services, and more. Here's an article for more details on the export system and how to export your data in the program: Export reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online
At the moment, the export tool doesn't include a list of what a customer would pay. For such information, I invite you to explore the Reports menu and use the Find report by name search bar to search for reports or simply browse the list. The Customer Balance Detail report, for example, presents how much each customer owes you. Once you find a report that suits your needs, you can easily open and export it to excel using the Export icon. Feel free to check out this useful article to assist you during this process: Run reports in QuickBooks Online
I hope this helps! Don't hesitate to reach out if you have more questions.
If you are a wholesaler, you may utilize a 3rd party app to manage multiple pricelist in multiple currencies to integrate with your QBO account.
