If you record donations by creating an Invoice first and then receiving payment later, or as a Sales receipt in QBO, you can print donation receipts by following the steps below.
Here's how:
- Go to All apps, then Sales & Get Paid.
- Choose Sales transactions.
- Pick the donor under the Customer dropdown menu.
- Select the received payment transaction or the Sales receipt.
- Click the Print option.


For year-end summary statements that show all donations for a donor over the year, you can print customer statements. Here's how:
- Go to the + Create option, then Statement.
- Choose a statement date, type, and Customer balance status.
- Select a start and end date.
- Tick the check box beside your chosen customer(s).
- Enter a customer's email address, if needed.
- Click Save and close or Save and send.
