Trying to print an invoice after billing on certain items from the actual quote. When I go to print the invoice, the pages just keep spooling until I finally use Task Manager.
Have called QB Support and nothing he tried helped the problem. I was asked to delete the invoice and redo. This still did not help.
I have printed the invoice before this one with no problems and well as did a test invoice on the next #.
This will be the 2nd invoice on billing from the quote.
I have figured out when I go from the Quote to asking it to invoice the certain items - my QB goes through a whole variety of different screen viewings until it finally stops at the invoice page (like a virus does if you're on a web page).
Sorry to hard to explain but nothing as helped the spooling problem. I could do an invoice by just noting the items but this is a large job with billing percentages at different times and the Create an Invoice from Quote should work.
Hi Debra65,
I can see how important it is to you to resolve this. I'm glad to hear you already got in touch with support. Great job taking the initiative! I can help point you in the right direction here.
I'd suggest creating a new quote to see if the same issue happens and if it does you may have data damage in your company file. It sounds bad but no need to worry as it can be fixed. If it is data damage you can follow the steps in this article: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1775073
Should the issue continue after following those steps i would suggest calling in to our support line to get further assistance. You can contact them by chat or by phone.
Hope this helped!
Thanks! Came up with the brilliant idea to do a new quote with the unbilled items while driving, thought for sure it would work but did the same thing with continually spooling. I've tried other quotes to see and they all work fine.
Worked earlier this afternoon on messaging with Christine after my initial phone call and nothing she had me do helped either.
Will do your suggestion next about data damage but Christine might have already done that with me.
Got it to finally print!
I changed the invoice type from Progress Invoice to Professional. I checked the other types of invoices available and they will all print. Not sure why Progress won't but I did do the Rebuild and Verify; everything was ok.
I have the same issue, I have been through a few other thread and still have not found a solution. Have you found one?
Sorry, I am a little slow. I got the work around.
Create the progress invoice then change the template to send.
Thanks,
DLee
