With QuickBooks Online, you can record your transaction and keep an eye on your business finances in an organized and easy to use platform. The Direct deposit feature is a convenient way to pay your employees directly if you're subscribed to QuickBooks Online Payroll services.
If you're trying to pay an invoice sent to you by one of your suppliers, then direct deposit payment with QuickBooks Online do not apply. The payment needs to be made through your financial institution, by a credit card, or a cheque for example. Once done, you can record the transaction in QuickBooks Online.
