How do I display my GST# on an invoice?

Hello,

Displaying your GST Registration Number on your invoice is important for many business owners. It's important to have control over your bookkeeping program so that things such as the GST number can be displayed easily. I'd be happy to explain how you can display this number on an invoice.

Follow these steps to add your GST Registration Number to the system:

1. Click Taxes on the left navigation menu.

2. Select Sales tax at the top.

3. Click Manage sales tax

4. Next to the tax agency, select the drop-down menu next to Add rate

5. Click Edit agency settings.

6. Enter the GST/HST Registration Number

7. Click Save

The GST Registration Number will now appear at the top of the invoice beneath your company address.

If you'd like the GST/HST registration number to appear at the footer of the invoice rather than the top of the invoice, you'll have to enter this as a "Message to customer", rather than in your tax agency settings.

To do this, click New Invoice, and at the bottom of the screen select Customize. Click New Style, or Edit Current. Click the Content tab at the top of the editing page and click on the bottom section of the invoice preview. In the "Message to customer" box, enter your GST/HST Registration Number. Click Done

I hope this helps get you back to business. If you need any further assistance, feel free to reach out to our tech support team

Cheers.
