Moving an Overdue Invoice from one year to the next

I would like to know how I can move an invoice that has not been paid, for many months, from the year it was made up into the next year so it does not show as income for the past year and goes into the next year when I am expecting payment for the outstanding amount.

In order to accurately record your transactions, I highly recommend consulting an accounting specialist for expert suggestions.
