Recurring invoice - how to update it using the latest entry? It used to do it automatically a few years ago, but now, it doesn't

I use recurring templates for invoicing long term projects. Once I am done entering the latest invoice info, I want this info to be saved on my template, so when I recall it to compose a new invoice, I will know the last thing I invoiced

It's great to see you in the Community! Thanks for reaching out to us here. QuickBooks Online is a great software to have. It has various features that can make running your business smoother. One of the many features QuickBooks offers, is the ability to edit recurring templates. Below, you'll find a few helpful guides that i think you'd benefit from.
