When trying to export my customer list to a .csv file, the “Mobile Number” field is not transferred to the document, thus leaving out many clients phone numbers. Fixable?

The regular main number category is transferred, but not the mobile number one. Unless there is a fix for this, manually adding each separate number seems to be the only solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello info1686,

I can appreciate how being able to export your customer information out of QuickBooks Online would be useful for having a comprehensive list of the information you have logged for your customers. This can be used for things like ensuring that all teams that are with your company have the proper information. I can share with you a way to make sure you get as much of that customer profile data as possible upon export.

As it stands right now, it sounds to me like you're simply exporting from the Customers page in the Sales menu. While you can absolutely generate an Excel file from that list, as you've noted, it doesn't show you details like the mobile number. What I recommend instead is running and exporting a report called Customer Contact List.

With that report, items like the mobile number are included in the same column as the regular phone number, but clearly indicating which number is which. You can also add other columns as needed to make sure you're capturing all the details you'd like. Navigate to the Reports tab, then use the reports search bar to find Customer Contact List. Once there, you can click Customize to personalize it the way you'd like, and the export button is just above the report once you've rerun it with the new filters and columns.

For your reference, here are some additional articles about customizing and running, printing, emailing, or exporting reports.

If you'd like to leave feedback about the existing export options through the Customers page, feel free to do so with these steps: How do I submit feedback? After that, you're welcome to bookmark our QuickBooks Online Feature & Product Updates page to keep an eye on what's new.

Give that a shot and feel free to let me know if it does the trick. I'll be here if you have further questions!
