It sounds to me like you've converted your data from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, which is awesome, and I hope the cloud version of QuickBooks meets your business needs. It's good to see that you're checking on your company data after the migration of data has completed, and I can explain why you're not seeing the attachments from QuickBooks Desktop in your QuickBooks Online.
When you make the switch from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online using our processes, our system does it's absolute best to bring over as much data as possible. There are, however, limitations to what can be brought over, and attachments are among them. Since the attachments don't convert over, what you can do is go into QuickBooks Online, find your transactions, and attach the receipts as you see fit. Our Attachments in QuickBooks Online can walk you through how to go about that to make sure that your files are as you'd like them to be.
I also encourage you to submit feedback about the available options by following the steps outlined here: How do I submit feedback? Sharing your feedback with our product development team through those steps is the perfect way for that team to see what users would like as features in the program and how what's already in place impacts them. You can also keep an eye on our QuickBooks Online Feature and Product Updates page if you have any interest in seeing new features. This page is updated quarterly at this time.

This is really disappointing. I got years of attached receipts that I now have to attach again. If I don't to spend days reattaching receipts I need to keep my desk top active and work online for the future years. I would have thought you would have that covered.
I hear you on this and know how needing to reattach years of receipts could take a lot of time. That's why this is a great opportunity for feedback, so please don't hesitate to click that link in my original response to see how you can go about sharing your thoughts with the product development team about this.
Your product people know this and they are ok with it. I am sure they heard this concern before. I do not believe this is the product for me. It is totally different from the desktop version and is cumbersome to work with. I will investigate further but my honest opinion is that I will stay with the desk top or if I got to do so much work to bring my accounting up to speed and learn new software maybe its time to change companies. I have been a customer for a long time. I also am a customer of the tax software. Thanks no reply is necessary
It's awesome that you've been a QuickBooks customer for a long time, and if QuickBooks Desktop is the better fit for you, you're welcome to continue using that edition of the software. QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop are definitely different versions of the program and aren't intended to mirror one another, so I encourage you to go with whichever you're more comfortable using.
While other users may have indeed expressed the same concerns as you have via feedback, adding your own voice to the mix is beneficial because it helps the team see how many people are impacted by a feature. I assure you that it does make a difference.
