Hi wharper,
Making sure your PST commission is tracked properly is a great way to ensure your books stay balanced. I'd be happy to help point you in the right direction.
QuickBooks Online makes tracking and filing your sales tax easy as it tracks all your purchases and sales. When it comes to the PST commission however you will have to make a manual sales tax adjustment. To make a sales tax adjustment you can follow these steps.
Once you save the adjustment it'll make a Journal entry for that amount. I recommend reaching out to your accountant before making this adjustment as they are trained on how to do this. If you don't have an accountant, we can help. You can go to: My Accountant>Find a pro to help, This will bring you to our accountants page to help find one in your area.
Hope this helped.
Thanks for the reply but it doesn't address the issue. The PST has already been filed in Quickbooks but not paid as there was a Covid-19 payment break until end of September so I have already moved past the Prepare Return page. Now I am paying PST after the 6 month break I am unable to correctly file the PST commission.
I see you've spent a lot of time on this but don't worry, I got your back. I'd be happy to steer you in the right direction so you can get back on track. I want to make sure you get the support you need with this. I recommend contacting our support team for further assistance. One of our specialists will be happy to share your screen and help. Here are the contact details.
