Gst Detail Report is missing information

Hi there shepherd2616-rog,

 

Thanks for reaching out about your reports. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you keep track of tax on transactions so you know the amount to file. I can provide some information about why this transaction might not be appearing in the report.

 

One thing to check would be to make sure that the correct tax code was applied to the transaction. If it was correctly added, then one one possible cause would be the date range not being correct for the report, or on the transaction itself. The other thing to check would be to see if the report's accounting method is set to accrual or cash. If the report is set to accrual, then the tax amount is recorded on the date of the invoice, but with cash, the tax amount is recorded at the moment a payment is applied. That being said, if you have the report set to cash based accounting method, and the invoice is not paid, or is paid, but the payment doesn't fall within the report dates, that would be why it's not appearing.
