Is there a way to separate HST and track provincial and federal amounts separately? i need to be able to do so to file a public service body rebate.

I need to be able to keep track of both provincial and federal tax totals separately
example HST= 13% (provincial 5% federal 8%) how do i see the break of the 5 and 8?

Hi tsgcns-gmail-com,

Welcome to the Community. It's essential to set up your taxes correctly to ensure the correct amount is reported to the CRA. QuickBooks Online is a great program that gives you the ability to easily track your sales and expenses. I'd be glad to help.

If you wish to separate HST and track provincial and federal amounts separately, If you'd need to manually configure the provincial and federal taxes, and combine them. Once you have manually configured both taxes, you'll be able to view their amounts separately. You can review this article to add a custom sales tax rate for an existing sales tax agency and to add a group sales tax rate in QuickBooks Online I'd encourage you to contact our customer support team for further assistance on this.

Let me know if you have question, I'll be happy to help.
