It's a pleasure to see you in Community. Welcome! QuickBooks Online Provides many valuable features, that minimize the time spent on your daily bookkeeping tasks. You can set a default tax code to your accounts, to save manual entry. I would be happy to show you how!
Follow these steps to set a default tax code in your Chart of Accounts;
1. From your Settings ⚙, select Chart of accounts
2. Checkmark the box beside the account you want to assign the sales tax code to
3. Select Batch actions, then use the ▼ dropdown menu and select Set default Tax code
4. Choose a sales tax code from the list, then hit Apply.
That's it! The new default code will show in the Sales Tax Rate column.
