Hi there,
Moving your business from Quebec to British Columbia sounds really exciting! I know how important it is for you to be able to set up the proper provincial taxes, as there's many differences in tax regulations across the different provinces. I'll explain what you'll do moving forward with QuickBooks Online now that you no longer report to Revenue Quebec.
When you originally create your QBO account, you're asked to set up the business's home province or territory in order to generate the appropriate tax capabilities needed for your bookkeeping. Once a province like Quebec has been selected, this is going to be locked as your company's home province moving forward.
I know starting a new QuickBooks Online account doesn't sound ideal, but this will be the best decision for the integrity of your books. It's essential that you change not only tax information, but other legal business information such as your business registration number, address, etc. Starting a new account is the best next step.
Don't worry, our team has your back through this transition! You can reach out to our awesome tech support team to work with an agent one-on-one to begin the process of moving your information into your new account. While you're not able to migrate all the data over completely, there's a few things that can be imported as explained here: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.
I hope this helps to point you in the right direction, and best of luck with your new business home!
Cheers.
