Sales Tax Filing Period

We received a notice to change the sales tax filing period from half year to monthly. When I tried to update the filing period it went retroactive to prior, paid, periods. How do I adjust so that this does not happen and how do I carry over the sales tax that have accrued since 7/1/2024?

This type of issue can be caused by browser cache and cookies as they can prevent the system from functioning effectively. I encourage you to refer to the following steps to complete some browser troubleshooting.

  • Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
