Hello,
I'm happy to hear you're using Payroll for QuickBooks Online! Integrating a payroll service into the rest of your bookkeeping data will help streamline your accounting, and keeps everything organized in one place. Setting up employees is an essential step when using Payroll, so I'm happy to shed some light on your concern.
When you add an employee to QuickBooks Online Payroll, you're required to fill out a TD1. This is where you'll be asked to input the employee's Social Insurance Number (SIN). If you're unable to reach the page when you click to enter the TD1 information, try the troubleshooting steps below.
1. Try clearing out your browser's cache and cookies. These stored Internet files build up over time as you surf the web, and they can slow down your experience and cause bugs in QuickBooks Online. If you're not sure how to clear cache and cookies, don't worry. Every browser is different, so here's an article that provides specific instructions for each browser: How do I clear my browser cache and temporary Internet files?
Make sure you completely close your browser down after clearing the cache and cookies. Once closed, relaunch your browser and try logging back into QuickBooks Online.
2. If you're still experiencing the "Page Not Found" error for the TD1 page, try using a different browser all together.
3. If the issue persists, try using an Incognito window. Here's more information about why the Incognito window may work: Incognito mode.
If you've tried all 3 steps listed above and the issue continues, please let me know. We'll take it from there and do some additional troubleshooting. You can also contact us through social media on Facebook or Twitter. Our team is standing by to help you from Monday - Friday, 9am - 8pm EST.
Have a great day!
