Welcome to the QuickBooks community page. Recording your transactions accurately is important for managing your business. The good news is that when recording a new transaction in QuickBooks Online, the date will automatically default to the current day. You can enter your financial operations by following these steps:
- Select the Plus icon (+) on the top right corner
- Select the transaction type you wish to record (Invoice, Sales Receipt, Expense, Cheque, Bill, etc.)
- Fill out the form with the relevant details
- Select Save and close
If the default date is different than the current day, I suggest you clear your browsers cache and cookies by following the steps in this community article: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Help-Articles/How-do-I-clear-my-browser-cache-and-temporary-.... This process can resolve most sites loading and display issues. If you still continue to have the wrong date, call our phone support team at 1-855-253-1536 for further troubleshooting.
