How do I record a bill as being paid

I work with two sets of quickbooks for an organization that has two separate projects. On the one set, I entered a bill but it was paid through the other set. How do I show the bill as being paid?

How do I record a bill as being paid

If you are trying to do bookeeping for a single integrated business spread across 2 different QB files then you are going have a ton of trouble that cant be fixed. Business accounting isnt designed to work that way and neither is QB. You would only split the data file if the company has fully separate operating divisions and reports that way.
You should have one data file and be using either Class, Location, or Job to segregate the information.
