What are the advantages of the new ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program?

With the ProAdvisor discount, you receive our best long-term savings option for clients new to QuickBooks, including our only ongoing discount. To maintain flexibility, the ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program has two options for monthly billing.
  • For the clients you pay for, enjoy savings month after month with the ongoing discount. You are billed monthly for all subscriptions and can decide how you pass on the cost to your clients. You also have access to monthly itemized bills displaying all of your firm-billed clients for easy tracking.
  • For clients who prefer to pay for their subscriptions, you can pass through a direct discount for the first 12 months of their subscription, after which they will pay the full then-current list price.

Which products are included in ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing?

The ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program includes the following products: QuickBooks Online Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, Advanced; QuickBooks Online Payroll Core, Premium, Elite; QuickBooks Time Premium and Elite. QuickBooks Simple Start was specifically added based on accountant feedback to support clients with less complex books.

ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing does not include QuickBooks Self-Employed. Full functionality for adding an accountant user to Self-Employed remains available and customers can sign up online and through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Who is eligible for the ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program?

The ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program is available for any accounting professional who signs up for QuickBooks Online Accountant and initiates new client subscriptions in the Add client tab.

Can I offer ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing to clients with an existing QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Payroll, or QuickBooks Time subscription?

The ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program is available for new QuickBooks Online, QuickBook Online Payroll and QuickBooks Time subscriptions only. If a QuickBooks Online Accountant account assumes the billing for an existing subscription, they are charged the then-current list price without additional discounts. What is the difference between the ProAdvisor discount and the Direct discount?

Both discounts are available exclusively via accounting professionals through the “Add client” section of QuickBooks Online Accountant. When starting a new QuickBooks Online subscription for a client, you can select either “ProAdvisor discount” or “Direct discount.”

With the ProAdvisor discount, you pay directly for the subscription and enjoy an ongoing discount. With the Direct discount, your client pays for the subscription and receives the discount for 12 months. At the end of the 12 months, the client is charged the then-current monthly list price.

What is the ongoing discount?

We understand the importance of a reliable monthly bill for you and your clients, which is why we are offering the ongoing monthly discount to accounting professionals via the ProAdvisor discount. When you select this option, Intuit will bill your firm each month for all eligible client subscriptions and you can enjoy the ongoing savings month after month.

Is there a cost to participate in ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing?

No, participation in the ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program is free for QuickBooks Online Accountant users. Firms who select the “ProAdvisor discount” option are charged monthly for all firm-billed subscriptions.

Is there a limit to how many clients I can sign up under the ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program?

There is currently no limit to the number of clients that you can have on the ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program.

I have multiple clients I want to sign up. Is there an additional discount I would get through ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing?

Call our Accountant Sales team (call 888-241-3279), they will be able to assist you with any special offers that you may qualify for, including the following:

  • You have a small business client with multiple companies interested in converting multiple of their companies to QuickBooks Online.
  • Your firm is interested in converting 50+ clients to QuickBooks Online.

Will there be any changes to the multi-company discount?

With the launch of ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing, the new multi-company discount will be: Buy one copy of QuickBooks Online Plus at the ProAdvisor discount price, and add up to 10 companies for $20 each per month for two years.

If my firm pays for the client’s subscription, do I take up one of their user licenses?

When you pay for your client’s subscription, it does not affect the billable user count. Refer to this article for more details.

How do I add a new client using ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing?

To add a new client, please follow the steps outlined below:

  • Sign in to QuickBooks Online Accountant.
  • Enter your client’s information in the Add Client screen.
  • Select which team members you want to have access to the account.
  • Select the discount option you prefer: ProAdvisor discount (we bill your firm) or Direct discount (we bill your client).
  • Select the product(s) you recommend for your client.
  • Click Save.

How do I add a new QuickBooks Time subscription using ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing?

Can my client add other QuickBooks Online products like Payroll on their own when they are on my firm-billed subscription?

No, a client is not allowed to upgrade or add either QuickBooks Online products when they are under your firm-billed subscription. You will need to manage these tasks on their behalf.

Billing


With ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing, how am I billed for the subscriptions I manage?

You are billed once a month for all of your clients under your subscriptions. Your billing date is set based on the date of the month you added your first client onto your firm-billed subscription and all of your subsequent subscriptions are also billed on this established bill date.

Can I be billed for my subscriptions annually?

Under the ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program, there is only monthly billing.

I want to pay for the QuickBooks Online subscription and my client to pay for the Online Payroll or QuickBooks Time subscription with the ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program. Is this possible?

No, different billing sources are not possible. Currently, the ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program only supports them as a bundle.

When my clients sign into their QuickBooks Online accounts, can they see the exact price that I am being billed for with the ProAdvisor discount?

No, your clients are not able to see the discount price Intuit is billing you for ProAdvisor (firm-billed) subscriptions.

Where can I view my monthly statement?

Within your QuickBooks Online Accountant, you have access to a consolidated view that itemizes the monthly charges for all of your subscriptions. This is where you would also access all of your prior monthly bills.

Follow these steps to view your monthly statement:

  1. Click on the Gear icon in the top right corner of QuickBooks Online Accountant
  2. Under Your Company select "Subscriptions and billing"
  3. Click on the Billing details tab to view your bill date, payment method, and amount billed. To get your itemized invoice, select View PDF or download CSV.

Multi Company Discount: Sign up for one QuickBooks Online Plus subscription and add up to 10 companies for $20 each per month for two years.

Eligibility: This offer is eligible to accounting firms who register or have registered for Intuit QuickBooks Online Accountant and who are seeking multiple QuickBooks Online Plus (“QBO Plus”) subscriptions for a client with multiple companies (“QBOA Customer”).

Pricing Terms: Starting July 15, 2021 and for a limited time thereafter, eligible QBOA Customers who purchase one (1) QBO Plus subscription at the then-current list price under the ProAdvisor discount will be entitled to obtain up to ten (10) additional QBO Plus subscriptions for a client with multiple companies (“Multi-Co Subscriptions”), if purchased in one order, at the discounted price of $20 USD per QBO Plus subscription per month for two (2) years. After year two, the offer will expire and the pricing for the Multi-Co Subscriptions will move to the then-current list price which may be eligible for the ProAdvisor discount.
