2018 Innovation Showcase

At QuickBooks, we live to solve our customers’ biggest problems through product innovation and industry investment. Over the past 12 months, our teams have built solutions specifically for our Australian customers based on your feedback. Our mission is to drive greater efficiencies in your business so that you have more time to add value to your clients.

Here are a few of the key innovations that we proudly released in 2018.

Single Touch Payroll – compliance made easy

Single Touch Payroll (STP) is a legislative initiative of the Australian Government, which requires businesses to continuously report their payroll obligations to the Australian Tax Office. Keypay, Intuit’s partner and the number one cloud provider of payroll in Australia, was one of the first companies certified by the ATO.

Our Single Touch Payroll solution is easy to use, directly links your client’s records with the Australian Tax Office and is fully integrated with QuickBooks Online.

Better bank feeds

We’re connecting directly to your favourite bank to ensure all your client’s business transactions are being logged and categorised.

Connecting to direct bank feeds allows data to flow automatically into QuickBooks removing the need to re-key data, saving you and your clients time. Over the past 12 months, we’ve partnered with major financial institutions to now provide coverage to over 90% of banks in Australia.

Invoice and reporting enhancements

We know invoicing and reporting are important to your small business clients. We’ve listened and made multiple enhancements to this function to make invoicing more flexible. We offer greater selection with options for either a summary or detailed invoice, new custom style templates and a multi-logo option, which is ideal for clients running multiple businesses under a single ABN.

We’ve also made a number of updates to reporting capabilities which now enable users to track their bills, invoices, and quotes in one place allowing them to manage their cashflow more efficiently.

Client overview

Need a quick, concise view of your client’s books from QuickBooks Online Accountant? The new client overview tab provides advisors with a snapshot of your client’s financial health, so you can quickly estimate how much work will go into maintaining the books.

Client overview speeds up the process and offers benefits a unified view of account setup, banking, and account data, and is just another way we’re helping drive efficiencies in your practice.
