WIN AN ADVISOR SUPPORT PACKAGE PROMOTION OFFICIAL RULES PROMOTER: Intuit Australia Pty Ltd, L 34, 1 O’Connell St, Sydney NSW 2000

(Intuit) PROMOTION: Win an Advisor Support Package (Game of Skill)

PROMOTION PERIOD:  From 9:00 am (AEST) Friday 6 August 2021 until 5.00pm (AEST)  Friday, 20 August 2021. 

ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER: To be eligible to enter the Promotion, you must:

  • be an Australian-based resident or citizen aged over 18 years;
  • be a representative of a bookkeeping or accounting practice based in Australia that holds an active Tax Agent or BAS agent number issued by the Tax Practitioners Board;
  • complete the Competition Registration Page including answering the competition question.

Employees of Intuit (or its subsidiaries, affiliates or third party service providers) and members of their immediate family (spouse and parent, children and siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household, whether or not related, of such employees, are not eligible to enter or win. 

HOW TO ENTER:To enter the Promotion, visit the competition registration page here, complete the registration form and answer the question in 250 words or less. All entries must be received by the end of the Promotion Period (that is by 5.00pm AEST on Friday, 20 August 2021).  

GENERAL TERMS: By entering the Promotion, you agree to be subject to these Official Rules. Limit of 1 entry for each firm. Entries received from any person or email address or household in excess of the limitation will be void.  All entries become the sole property of Intuit and will not be returned.  Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means are void. Your entry must (i) be your own original work, (ii) be in English, (iii) not be previously published or submitted in connection with any other Promotion, and (iv) not be offensive or inappropriate, as determined by the Intuit in its sole discretion, nor can it defame or invade publicity rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person’s rights or any other third party rights. Intuit reserves the right to disqualify any entry that it determines, in its sole discretion, is offensive or inappropriate, not in keeping with Intuit’s image or that is otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules. By submitting an entry, you agree Intuit shall own all rights to the entry and that it may edit, modify, and distribute the entry and all elements of such entry, including, without limitation, the names and likenesses of any persons or locations in it, in any and all media now known or developed in the future worldwide, in perpetuity without compensation, permission or notification to you or any third party. You agree that Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for any unauthorized use of Entries by third parties. You also agree that you will not use the entry for any other purpose, including, without limitation, posting the entry to any online social networks, without the express consent of Intuit in each instance.

JUDGING:  Judging will take place on Friday 20 August 2021 by a panel of Intuit personnel. All eligible entries received by Intuit will be assessed for the quality and details of their response to the competition question.  The entry with the highest score will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner and there will be 5 runner-up prizes awarded (see below under “Prizes” for further details). Intuit reserves the right not to award any prizes, if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified entries. Prize awards are subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.

WINNER NOTIFICATION:  The panel’s decision is final and binding on all matters relating to this Promotion.  The winners will be announced by telephone and/or email and may be required to provide any other documents reasonably required by Intuit which must be returned within an agreed timeframe with Intuit. Any failure to sign and return requested documentation within the specified time period, the inability of Intuit to contact a potential winner within a reasonable time period or noncompliance with these Official Rules by any potential winner will result in disqualification and, at Intuit’s sole discretion, the prize may be awarded to a runner-up.

PRIZES: Grand Prize – One winning entry will be awarded the Grand Prize, consisting of:

  • 2 x annual subscriptions to Headspace a meditation & mindfulness application to give to your team and/or clients valued at approximately $95 each. See www.headspace.com for further details.
  • 1 x annual subscription to Udemy for Business, a learning & development platform, for you & your team valued at $500. See https://business.udemy.com for further details.
  • 1 x personalised training session with the founder of LodgeiT, Andrew Noble, to help with onboarding and product support of QuickBooks Tax powered by LodgeiT up to the value of $2,400. Total Value of Grand Prize: $6,790 (exclusive of GST) Runner up prizes:  A further 5 entries will be selected as ‘runners-up’ and will each be entitled to 2 x annual Headspace subscriptions valued at approximately $95190 each and an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session with Alan Fitzgerlad valued at $700 each. Total value of Runner-up prizes: $4,450 (exclusive of GST) Total prize pool value: $11,240 (exclusive of GST) The winner may not substitute, assign or transfer prize, but Intuit reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute prize (or a portion of it) with one of comparable or greater value.  

LodgeiT Prize – further details To obtain the free LodgeiT subscription, you will need to have or sign up for a QuickBooks Online Accountant subscription (QBOA), which is free of charge. Third Party Products The prizes offered are products and services provided by third parties (“Third Party Products”). If you decide to use or access any Third Party Products, you agree that you are solely responsible for your relationship with the provider of the product. Intuit is not affiliated with Third Party Products and does not endorse or recommend any Third Party Products. You agree that the providers of the Third Party Products, and not Intuit, are solely responsible for their own actions or inactions. Intuit is not liable for any damages, claims or liabilities arising out of or related to any Third Party Products, including any service disruption affecting your ability to use the Third Party Product. You agree that you will (a) review and comply with all Third Party Product terms and conditions, and (b) not use the Third Party Product in any manner that would infringe or violate the rights of Intuit or any other party or in furtherance of criminal, fraudulent or other unlawful activity. 

GENERAL CONDITIONS:   By participating, you agree: (a) to abide by these Official Rules and decisions of Intuit and judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects relating to this Promotion and you acknowledge and agree that any failure to abide by these Official Rules may result in Intuit ceasing to provide any further referrals as part of the prize; (b) except as otherwise provided by law, to release, discharge and hold harmless Intuit, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives of the forgoing (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from your participation in the Promotion or any Promotion-related activity or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any awarded prize; and (c) to the use of your name, voice, performance, photograph/video, image and/or likeness for programming, advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in any and all media, now or hereafter known, worldwide and on the Internet, and in perpetuity by Intuit and its designees, without compensation or additional consents from you or any third party and without prior notice, approval or inspection, and to execute specific consent to such use if asked to do so. You also agree not to release any publicity or other materials on your own or through someone else regarding their participation in the Promotion and in connection with the awarding of the prize without the prior consent of Intuit, which it may withhold in its sole discretion. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an online entrant, the prize will be awarded to the authorized account holder of the email address and s/he must comply with these Official Rules.  The “authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person to whom the email address is assigned by an Internet service provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

MISCELLANEOUS: Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, or undelivered Entries; or for unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider, website, or other connections, availability or failed transmissions, or any other errors or difficulties of any kind or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Promotion, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Promotion, the processing or judging of Entries, the announcement of the prize(s), the incorrect uploading of the entry or in any Promotion-related materials.  Should any portion of the Promotion be, in Intuit’s sole opinion, compromised by any means, which, in the sole opinion of the Intuit, impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of Entries, Intuit reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Promotion and, if terminated, at its discretion, select the potential winner(s) from all eligible, non-suspect Entries received prior to action taken using the judging procedure outlined above.

GOVERNING LAW/JURISDICTION:  All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules or the rights and obligations of participants or Intuit in connection with the Promotion shall be governed by the laws of the state of New South Wales, Australia, without giving any effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules.  Any dispute shall be resolved in a court of law in New South Wales, Australia. 

SEVERABILITY:  If any provision(s) of these Official Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect. Void where prohibited by law. The Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

PRIVACY:  Any information you submit to Intuit as part of this promotion will be collected and used in accordance with Intuit’s privacy policy available at https://quickbooks.intuit.com/au/privacy/
