Close Your Books in Desktop

I have reviewed the topic "Close your books in QuickBooks Desktop" dated March 19, 2019.

Does the comment in QuickBooks Desktop, "you don't have to worry about closing your books at the end of every fiscal year.  QuickBooks creates automatic adjustments in preparation for the coming year."  still apply in the current version?

I have checked our settings and verified that our fiscal year commences January 1.

You can appreciate that I do not want to leave this to the last minute to find out that the aforementioned close out procedure has changed.

Your confirmation of the above is greatly appreciated.
