When I log into my bank to download the credit card files I am now getting this error...You don't have permission to access "http://www.scotiaonline.scotiabank.com/online/authentication/authentication.bns" on this server.
I didn't get this error last month when I went to log in. Same house, same internet, same laptop. Nothing has changed
Any suggestions?
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, tiffany.
Let me share some updates about the error you've encountered when connecting or downloading transactions from Scotia bank.
This has been reported as an ongoing issue with the QuickBooks Bank Feeds. Our engineers are diligently working with your financial institution in getting rid of this error.
Our workaround for this is to manually download your credit card transactions directly from your bank's website and upload them into QuickBooks using a Webconnect file.
Here's how:
While we're still working on this, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Customer Care Team so we can add you to our notification list. You'll be notified through email whenever an update or complete resolution is available to fix the issue.

4 years later and this is still an issue.
Hi there karen1100,
It's important that all your transactions are correctly entered for your books to be well balanced. QuickBooks Desktop is a great tool able to import transactions from various banks in order to save you time with data entry. I can point you in the right direction for assistance with bank connections.
For assistance with bank connection errors with QuickBooks Desktop, I recommend reaching out to the QuickBooks Desktop support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to assist you in getting the connection back up and running through some troubleshooting steps, as well as notify the engineers if the error still persists. You can reach them using the options provided in the QuickBooks Desktop software support policies.
