We are a small Canadian company currently using QuickBooks Desktop POS 18.0 Pro Level for selling our products and services. We manually enter all sales information into invoices in our accounting program (not QuickBooks). We would like to get a Canadian version QuickBooks accounting program which the POS 18.0 will fully integrate into. What is available to us?
Hello, @mcg.
If you'll be connecting QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale (POS) to a CA version of QuickBooks Dekstop (QBDT), then this will not be possible since QBDT POS is initially for QBDT US. You'll be having problems with the sales tax since the QBDT US is compliant with the IRS and not with CA.
If you have QBDT CA, you can manually import transactions instead.
In case you have any other POS concerns in the future, feel free to read our help articles.
Get back to me if you any other questions. I'm always here to help. Have a good day!
How is the manual import of transactions done? And would there still be a problem with the sales tax using the manual import?
