You can use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.

Hi there,
Welcome back to the Community. It's vital you're able to sync your transactions in QuickBooks so you can take full advantage of the program. Rest assured, I'll be happy to share more info and help steer you in the right direction.
The program makes it easy to connect your bank account. It's also important to note that the currency of the bank account will also be Canadian as the Banking module supports the home currency on file. Here's a helpful article that shows you how to: Connect bank and credit cards in QuickBooks. In case your bank isn't listed, you can request access through your bank by following the steps below:
You can also check out this article here with more info on how to manually import your transactions into QuickBooks. Give this a try and if you have questions, feel free to reach back to me in the comments below. I've got your back.

not what I asked.
To JamesM: This does not answer the question that I asked.
Hi JanicePickwell,
QuickBooks Online Canada will only link to a US bank account if the account is with a bank that conforms to the Canadian ACH standards and allows us to connect. A number of USA banks do have Canadian branches. The account would have to be with a Canadian branch of the bank in most cases.
If QuickBooks is unable to find your bank, you will get the message, "Hmm, we can’t find [name of the bank you entered] in our list of supported banks."
If you’re unable to find your bank, click on Request support for your bank.
Enter your bank's web address (URL) in the field provided, then select Request.
I also suggest sending this inquiry as a suggestion directly to our product engineers. To do that, just click on the Gear (+) icon and choose Feedback. New product ideas and improvements are largely based on the feedback we get from you.
