Can you please help me - I followed instruction but unable to choose category in bank feed. The category and expense option doesn't seem to be functioning.

Good morning usergrantexpress,

I so sorry you are facing troubles with categorizing in the Banking Tab, but I'm happy you reached out so we can help! What I love about QuickBooks Online is that you can create accounts on the go right within the Banking Tab or you can create the accounts in Chart Of Accounts prior to working with your transactions, so that the wanted category accounts populate for us when we start to bring out transactions in our books.

There is no right or wrong way both work just as great! If you want to create your accounts on the go, you will want to click on the transaction you are ready to work with, then we are looking for the GREEN PLUS SIGN at the top of the drop-down list from our category field from within our transaction in the Banking Tab section under For Review, in which we will create the proper category account for our transaction.

THe second method is to have your Chart Of Accounts set up prior to working in the Banking Tab, so that when we go to assign our accounts they populate in our drop down. Here is more information about Chart Of Accounts in QuickBooks Online:
