I want to be able to see the USD revenue in USD (home currency is CAD). Currently CAD and USD sales are going into the same ledger. I want to be able to run a report that shows me how much was collected from the USD account IN USD funds. I think I'll have to create a new revenue ledger for just the USD funds, but even then, is there a way to see it in USD? (I have a multi-currency account)

Hi Jaclyn
Yes - most of the reports you are able to filter in Currency and Currency Amount. Rather than setting up a GL revenue account in USD (which you can do for a balance sheet accounts, ie.bank account but not income statement accounts) you invoice in USD. This is accomplished when setting up your customer you indicate if that customer will pay you in USD or CDN. If, per chance, a customer pays you both in CDN and USD, you have to change the customer name somewhat, ie. ABC Co. and ABC Co. (USD).
As far as filtering in USD on reports. An example for sales as your query indicates: Reports>Sales and Customers>Sales by Customer Detail>Customize top right>Rows/Columns>Change Columns>Scroll down and you can select (check) different criteria, ie. Currency, Exchange Rate, Foreign Amount, etc. You can also "uncheck" criteria that is pre-populated if the info is not useful for you>Run Report.
Once you have the report you are happy with, and if you use it on an ongoing basis, I would suggest "Save Customization" Top Right.
This is just a sample of how to filter in, but most reports will allow you to add foreign currency and foreign amount.
