The Error 103 message you are receiving occurs due to an incorrect username or password for the bank account you are trying to connect to.

 

To fix the error, ensure you have the correct user ID and password for your bank account. Here's how to confirm if your sign-in info is correct:

 

  1. Go directly to your bank's website using a new window in your web browser. 
  2. Sign in with the sign-in info you have. If your password is automatically entered for you, select the show icon next to it to reveal the password. 
  3. If you sign in successfully, the user ID and password are correct.

 

Some banks need your permission to connect your bank account to another service like QuickBooks Online. Check if it requires third-party access. If so, follow your bank's instructions to turn it on or contact your bank if you need assistance with this requirement.

 

If you can't sign in to your bank's website, follow your bank's instructions to reset your password. Once done, here's how to update your sign-in information for your bank in QuickBooks Online:

 

  1. Head to the All apps, then Accounting
  2. Select Bank transactions
  3. Click the Pencil icon, then select Edit sign-in info.
  4. Manually type in the user ID and password for your bank account.
  5. Hit Save and connect.
