I'm getting an error message with linking credit cards payments to my customers

Can anyone help please? I have signed up so my customers can pay with credit cards, but when I go to sign in an error message pops up "There was an error communicating with Quickbooks payment service. Try again later"

I need to invoice my customers and can't. Help!

I'm getting an error message with linking credit cards payments to my customers

Hey jaredsgarage,

Welcome to the QuickBooks Canada Community. Don't worry, I'm here to help you get back on track with accepting credit card payments from your customers when using QuickBooks Desktop. I know how much easier this option can make accepting payments from your customers, so it's important to me that this is sorted out.

QuickBooks Desktop Canada doesn't currently have an option to configure credit card payments through the program. I have a feeling you may either be using QuickBooks Desktop US, which does have this service, or you're using a third-party service to accept the payments via credit card from your customers.

If you're using QuickBooks Desktop US, I recommend contacting our US support team for assistance with the error message you're getting. They'll have the knowledge and tools to help you through this so you can log in and get to work. Here are a couple of links with contact details.

In the event you're using a third-party service, I recommend connecting with their support team to find out how to resolve this error. To find the contact information for an app you're using that connects with QuickBooks Desktop, visit the Apps for QuickBooks Desktop page, search your app, and then select it to review its details.

Wishing you the best with this!
