Hi jwhiteeo-yahoo-c.
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! This is a place where our customers get together to share accounting knowledge and help answer questions. We know that mistakes can happen and transactions can be accidentally deleted. I can help get your transactions entered again and reconciled.
QuickBooks Online makes entering your transactions and reconciling your accounts easy to help you save time and effort. At this time there isn't a way to restore a deleted transaction but you can enter it again if you have all the information. If you don't have that information no worries, you can go into your Audit log to see the deleted transaction information. You can get to the audit log by going to Gear>Audit Log. If the transaction was an invoice you can follow these steps on how to recreate it:
If it was a bill that you need to recreate you can follow these steps:
If the transaction was in your last reconciliation you can manually reconcile it again by following these steps: Go into the Chart of Accounts>Select the account in question>Find the transaction>Change the checkmark column to R.
If the transaction was done in previous reconciliations you should reach out to your accountant as they are trained in how to make this correction. If you don't have an accountant you can go to: My Accountant>Find a pro to help to find one in your area that is trained with QuickBooks Online.
If you wish to have the ability to restore deleted transactions you can send feedback to our development team by following these steps:
Once they receive the feedback they'll look into ways to possibly add this in future updates.
If you have any questions let us know and we'd be happy to help!
