Pay Pal

I have sales from Shopify that the customer checks out in USD via Paypal I'm in Canada.

I can make a receipt in USD, But QB will not pick it up that it is USD. (have an account Pay Pal USD transaction is there)

If customer checks out in CAD and a receipt is made everything works out fine.

So what are the steps to match a transaction in USD?

I have tried several online tips that were from 2019 that don't work.

Shouldn't be this difficult...

Oh and I have tried a few apps that don't seem to work either.

Hello Chickadee1,

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. It's essential you're able to get the help you need and I'll be happy to share more info and help steer you in the right direction.

The option to match transactions appears on a transaction in a foreign currency feed only when the amount is the same to what's in QuickBooks. The transaction will also need to have no payments applied to it as the foreign currency feed recognizes open transactions without any payments against it. I can see the benefit of being able to match transactions in foreign currencies in different amounts and I encourage you to send feedback about this to our engineers. You can send feedback by clicking the Gear icon and looking for Feedback.

In the meantime, feel free to check out this article with more info on how: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online. Feel free to ask other questions. I'm here to assist.
