2022 CPP tax adjustments - Employee no longer employed with us

QuickBooks has sent out an update email in regards to the 2022 CPP tax issue that occurred January 1-7th 2022. They stated that QuickBooks will create an adjustment cheques to adjust the total CPP tax calculations and that this amount will be deducted from the employees next cheque.

However in my case one of our employees is no longer employed with us and will not have any further cheques to deduct from, how should I go about fixing this?

2022 CPP tax adjustments - Employee no longer employed with us

Hi Solidity

In this case, you'd simply need to remit the extra CPP to the gov/t directly on your next tax deposit, and then reissue your employee's T4 if you've already done so.
