From user to employee

Hi! I have an employee which currently enters his hours as a user but also has an employee profile (his name is written differently in both places) I would like to know if I can merge them together? I would like to keep access to the reports of his worked hours while having him show up as an employee and not just a user. Thanks!

Hi there luxis,

 

It's important that all your employees have the access they need to be able to accomplish their work. QuickBooks Online Payroll is a great tool able to help you calculate your employees' payroll for the hours they've worked. I can provide some information about inviting users.

 

A regular QuickBooks user or Time tracking user access is different than a Workforce invitation for your employees to be able to view their paystubs and payroll forms, and these accesses can't be merged together. If you have one person who you'd like to add as a regular or time-tracking user as well as a Workforce user, separate emails will need to be used to invite the person for these different profiles.
