I'm new to QB online app. How do I enter a credit card amount without the tax included? I am having to manually remove it!

I used to be able to enter the charged amount, note the tax type and it would calculate the tax out.

When entering your expense make sure you have selected Inclusive of Tax from the drop down menu (right-side of screen, just above the ). The option is Amounts are "Inclusive of Tax" or Exclusive of Tax". When you enter the total amount charged to your credit card and select the appropriate sales tax, QBO will then break out the tax for you.

Once you've set up Sales tax in QuickBooks, you'll need to chose a tax code in order to save the transactions. I recommend reviewing this helpful guide for Common sales tax codes. If you require further assistance, I recommend reaching out to the support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to view your screen to better assist you. You can reach them by following one of these methods:

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
