My payroll receipt for DD gets sent to myself, the admin, as well as my accountant. How do I fix it so that my accountant does not get the email every payroll?

Welcome to the Community. The program is designed to help you achieve your accounting goals with ease. I'll be happy to show you how to change/edit your notification email address in QuickBooks. 

 

To get started, I recommend double-checking the email addresses on your Payroll Settings using the steps below:

 

  1. Select the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Payroll Settings.
  3. Select Contact Information under the Business Information header.
  4. Verify the email and other information entered for the Primary Contact.
  5. Change this information as needed.
  6. Click OK to save.

I also recommend checking the email addresses under your Company Setting tabs after clicking on the Settings icon. You're more than welcome to keep me posted on how you make out. I'll be one message away in case you have other questions. Otherwise, I wish you a great rest of the week.

Thank you for your answer.  I checked those two spots and only my email is listed.  The only spot I can find my accountants email is under the "manage users" / "accountants".  Which I think needs to be there so they can access quickbooks for doing my year end adjustments?

Thanks for getting back to us here.  In addition to the valuable information provided by my colleague James, it's important to note that the Primary Admin on the account will also receive the associated emails.  With that being said, if your Accountant user is also listed as the Primary Admin on your account, this would be why they're also receiving the emails.  It's important that you are the Primary Admin on your account, to eliminate any errors or confusion with access rights in QuickBooks Online.

 

I encourage you to contact us outside of Community so we can work with you in real time, and ensure the direct deposit emails are being directed accordingly, as soon as possible!

 

Schedule a Callback: click (?)Help in the upper right > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback (Note: Callback hours are the same as regular phone hours.)
