Hi there. Thanks for chiming in on this thread. The QuickBooks update for box 45 is scheduled to be released before the end of this month. Rest assured, you'll be able to view box 45 as QuickBooks adheres to the guidelines and dates set by the Canada Revenue Agency. Let me know if you have other questions. I'll be a message away.
thank you, I see box 45 in T4 Slips, but how do we update the info for employees in QBO to make the box checked?
Good evening, EDDYACCOUNTING.
Thanks for reaching out to us here. I'd be happy to provide some information regarding box 45.
You can update your employees profile by following these steps:
1. Open "Payroll", then "Employees"
2. Select the employee
3. Hit "Edit" in the "Deductions and contributions" section
4. Under the "Dental benefits access", use the dropdown menu to select the correct code for the employee
5. Hit "Done"
Note: You'll have to repeat these steps for each employee.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach back out.
How do I add the box 45 info for QB desktop?
Hi Andrea95,
Thanks for joining us here. The new Dental Benefit has been automatically updated in QuickBooks Desktop. However, you'll need to
enter the required codes in your employee profiles. Please note that all employees must have a code for the dental benefit. Once you've updated your employee profiles, box 45 will be visible on the T4 slips.
Follow these steps to enter the codes;
1. Go to the Employee Centre and select the Employee then Edit
3. Open Payroll info
4. Use the ▼ dropdown menu next to Employer-offered dental benefits, then select the appropriate code
5. Hit OK to save.
You're all set!
Feel free to reach out again , if you have other questions or concerns. We would be glad to assist!
I just did the 2024 update and when I go to print T4s the program gives me an error message that the information regrading Box 45 has not been inputted and has to be before the T4 will print. Where do I post this info into the employees profile? Thank you!
I see the post now - thank you!
Hi there Laura Lee1,
