Hi there,
It's good to be able to see your employee's information on one report. I'll be happy to show you how to view this on your end.
The report you're looking for is called the Employee Contact List report. You can search for this report by clicking Reports on the left navigation menu and entering the report name in the search field. Once you've pulled up the report, you can customize to view just the name and SIN number. Check out the screenshot below for visual reference:

I searched for employee contact list and I do not have it. I did a search and also looked in all of the logical, to me< places that report would be. Is is possible this report is only available in a different version of QBO?
Thanks for reaching back out to clarify, oc2!
I'll help clarify how you can find the report you're looking for. There's a little trick you can use to pull it up.
1. Click the Reports tab on the left navigation menu.
2. Select the Customer Contact List Report.
3. Change in the URL where it says CUST_CONTACT so that it says EMP_CONTACT.
While this will produce an Employee Contact List Report, the SIN numbers are only displayed with the last 3 digits, to protect the employee's information.
I hope this helps you get back on track. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Have a great day!
I want a list of entire social insurance numbers, partial ones do not help me complete the Government of the Northwest Territories payroll tax return. Just wondering who are you "hiding" the SIN from? I read to obtain the SIN you have to terminate the employee, get their sin from an ROE and then make them active again. If I had 100 employees I needed to complete this form for I would be really upset that I could not obtain it relatively easily. In my case I only have a handful of employees so going through their files is what I will do. Is there going to be a fix so I could look up entire SIN? Sure hope so or I will not recommend my clients with many employees change to QBO.
I hear your concerns, and I want to make sure you're given all the details on this.
Since QuickBooks Online can have multiple users, including accountants and other employees of the business, it's important that the private information of your employees remains secure and protected. As the business owner, you'd have to keep track of your employee's SIN's outside the program if you'd like to retain them for future reference.
I know this isn't the outcome you were hoping for. I will be passing along your feedback about this issue to the product development team so we can review possible solutions for this moving forward.
