I don't have the option of adding a job when I try to add multiple jobs or rates for employees

Hi Tengu,

Glad to have you reach out to us here. It's vital you have the option to add multiple jobs/rates for your employees so their pay is calculated the simplest way possible. QuickBooks enables you to get ahead with your work using the powerful features offered in the program. I'll be happy to share more info on this so you can get back to doing what you enjoy the most.

Based on the details you've provided, I highly recommend checking out the following article that shows you:

How to add multiple jobs or rates for employees. If you're still not seeing the option to add jobs/rates,  I suggest trying to do this using a private/incognito browser window. This is a good way to bypass any browser-related issues that may be affecting the site.

Try this out and let me know what happens, I'm here to help you get ahead with your work. Feel free to reach back if you need anything.

I don't have the option of adding a job when I try to add multiple jobs or rates for employees

Thanks James for your reply.  I followed the steps from the link you provided but I was still not able to add multiple jobs or rates for my employees.  When I follow the steps, I get stuck after I select the "EMPLOYMENT" tab; the button to "ADD JOB" is not there.  I have been trying to figure this out since the weekend.

I suspected that I didn't have the correct subscription so I contacted support for QuickBooks Online this morning.  The first representative advised me I needed to upgrade my subscription but I had to leave the call before I could upgrade the subscription.  I contacted support shortly after and I spent the next hour on the phone with the representative trying to  verify the solution; and finally being told that this feature is no longer available for Quickbooks Online for Canada.  I advised her of what the previous representative advised me (to upgrade the service) but she stated it was incorrect and I would have to cancel QuickBooks payroll and use Wagepoint.  This makes no sense as everything I googled, and the help tab in Quickbooks Online pointed to the same link you provided.  I asked her to escalate the matter to a manager or supervisor since she sounded unsure of the advice she was giving me.  Fortunately she was already speaking with a higher level of support.  Unfortunately that support representative advised her to contact her lead after I requested this matter to be transferred up.

I ended up calling the support line again but selected someone other than payroll.  This representative ended up setting up an escalated call for me with a supervisor/manager and advised me they would call me before end of business day.  They still haven't called.

I just want to know if I have to upgrade my subscription or if this is a feature QuickBooks Online does not provide.
