Payroll update 2022

Welcome to Community!  Having the most recent payroll tax table is essential for accurately paying your employees.  I can understand your concern with the timing.  QuickBooks Desktop will update the latest release when it becomes available from the CRA.  You can schedule future automatic updates.  I'd be happy to show you how!

Follow these steps to schedule the download for a later date:

1. From the Help menu, select Update QuickBooks Desktop

2. Open the Options tab  

3. Hit Yes to turn on automatic update

Note:  Select Yes for each computer, if you want to share automatic download on your network

4. When complete hit Close

You can also use the CRA Payroll Deductions Online Calculator to determine the appropriate tax deductions for the time being if necessary.

I have 2021 Accountants desktop.

Received an email two(2) weeks that 2022 payroll tax tables were available

for 2021 Accounts desktop.

As of today I still cannot update to 2022 tax tables although automatic update is turned on?

Follow these steps to verify the payroll update:

1. Click on Employees and select My Payroll Service

2. Hit Tax Table Information

3. In the window, you'll see the date when the calculations were updated and the expiry date

Note:  You won't see this in your employee files until January 1st.
