Will not accept my new employee hire date under details. i have entered 12/06/2023 that is the start of new pay week

In Canada the date is usually formatted as YYYY/MM/DD.  Depending on how date settings are saved in your system you could be entering Dec 06 2023 (based on 12/06/2023).  This would cause an issue as the date is too far out for the payroll system to accept it.  Ensure you are using the correct format if you are entering the date (rather than selecting the date in the calendar).

it's important that all y our employee's information is correctly entered so that you can pay them the right amount. QuickBooks Online Payroll is a great tool abl;e to help you calculate payroll for the hours your employees worked. I can point you in the right direction for assistance with setting up your employee. 

One step I also recommend trying would be the ones provided by AdminAndrea, f the error still persists after trying to enter the date in that format, then I recommend reaching out to the  QuickBooks Online support team. They'll be able to view the error with you in a secure setting in order to help best assist at getting your worker set up in payroll. You can reach them using these methods:
