QuickBooks Online currently has one template for cheque. You'd want to create a template for a recurring transaction instead. It allows you to assign the correct account in the cheque no. box.
- Select the Gear icon on the Toolbar.
- Under Lists, select Recurring Transactions.
- Select New.
- Select the type of transaction to create, and then select OK.
- Enter a Template name.
- Choose a Type — scheduled, unscheduled or reminder.
- Fill out the rest of the transaction.
- Click on Save template.
