How can I add my control account like suppliers, Contractors ?

Hello again sh2295,

 

I hope you enjoyed your weekend and are ready to get to work this week. QuickBooks Online, as always, is here to make that as simple as possible. I'll get you started with some details about managing suppliers and accounts in the program so that you can take care of what you need to.

 

It sounds to me like you're looking to add suppliers, including those that track contractor forms like T4As and T5018s in QuickBooks Online. Luckily, both can be handled from the same place. I'll walk you through it.

  1. Hover over Expenses in the left menu.
  2. Choose Suppliers.
  3. Click New supplier.
  4. Enter the supplier details.
  5. If you need contractor forms, find the Track for T4A / T5018 drop-down to add the form you need.
  6. Click Save when you're done the supplier setup.

That's all it takes! The T4As and T5018s are a newer feature to QuickBooks Online and give you the opportunity to organize and track your data to file those forms outside of the program come tax time. This article explains more: Using T4A and T5018 forms in QuickBooks Online

How can I add my control account like suppliers, Contractors ?

 
Thank you for your email. However My question is I want separate information about my company's contractors and shippers. My last accounting software I have a control account in which I can create contractors and shippers. And, When I run report of my trial balance I have separate colum of my contractors and shippers. Is it possible??

I see what you're saying, @sh2295. The customization options you've described aren't available yet for the Trial Balance report. I know how useful it would be to be able to have separate columns for your contractors and shippers and I encourage you to send feedback about this to our engineers. You can do this by clicking the Gear icon and looking for Feedback. Let me know if you have questions, I've got your back.
