Hi Judith17,
Making sure you're recording your transactions the right way is a good exercise for preventing errors in your books. I'd be happy to steer you in the right direction so you can focus on doing the things you enjoy.
To ensure accuracy in your books, I recommend contacting an accounting professional to get more info on recording the transactions. Doing this will help prevent any future discrepancies in your books. If you're not in contact with one, I encourage you to search for one on our website using this link here.
I'll also leave this question here so other accounting professional members can chime in. Let me know if you have other questions. I'm here to help.
No offense, but this is why I think QuickBooks team members are a joke. No one ever answers your questions, they just feed you generic lines from a book.
Thank you anyway for responding. I always forget that QB team members have no accounting skills, they are just QB employees.
I firmly believe QB would benefit from having accounting experienced members.
Hi Judith17,
Our goal is to help to help every customer we can with their issues, whether that be helping them answer the question or point them in the direction of where to get help from.
Although the tech support team isn't trained in accounting, we can help you connect with an accountant. If you wish you can even get in touch with one right from your QuickBooks Online account by going to: My Accountant>Find a pro to help. We also have tons of skilled accountants in our community who are always willing to help if they come across your question.
Hope this helped
