QBOA incognito mode

I work with QBOA always in incognito mode.  In the last few months, I can not use chrome to log into the QuickBooks community to ask a question when in incognito mode.  If I try to sign in to the community to ask a question, it takes me to the US support site and won't let me sign,  I change the flag to Canada - click on sign in and back to the US flag.  I go to community in the menu and click ask a question, I can ask the question but won't let me post it because I can't log in.

Anybody else having this problem or have suggestions what settings I need to change to allow me to sign into the community when I am in incognito mode.  (Yes I have added intuit.ca to my third party cookies),

Thanks for your time.

QBOA incognito mode

Hi Janet H,

Being able to access the community when you have a question or want to look something up is what it's here for. I'd be happy to help go over ways to get this resolved.

When you access QuickBooks Community through an incognito browser it prevents your location or settings from being accessed. It seems however that it has you stuck in a loop when you try to log in while using the private browser mode.

There are two things you can try to get this resolved. First would be to clear your cache and cookies to make sure that isn't saving the country information and causing the loop. In order to clear your cache and cookies you can follow these steps.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More .
  3. Click More tools > Clear browsing data.
  4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
  5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
  6. Click Clear data.

Another would be to try with another browser such as Firefox and use their private browser feature. This can be done the same way as you would for Google Chrome.

If you have any questions please feel free to let us know and we'd be happy to help!

Thank you for your prompt reply to my inquiry.  I did manage to find a work around - I log out of QBO.  I then open the Community vis the Canada url - then I can log in and ask questions.

I still cannot log into the Canada community site when I am logged into QuickBooks online - I can read the messages but if I want to ask a question it takes me to the US community site won't let me log in - in essence I'm back to the infinite loop.

This is frustrating.  When I first started with QBO, if I was logged into my QBO, it would recognize me when I went to the support/community and clicked on the green QB logo near the Canadian flag.

Thanks again for any suggestions - I still scratching my head what changed!

Thank you Fiat - all this an more has already been tried.  Have found a roundabout way to handle it.  See my reply to Nick.
