All permissions enabled but stopped tracking Mileage.

Last mileage tracked was Saturday. I made no changes and use the Mileage tracking all the time but it has stopped tracking mileage. How do I make it work again?

All permissions enabled but stopped tracking Mileage.

Let’s perform some troubleshooting steps to ensure the mileage tracking feature works at all times in QuickBooks Online (QBO), anavaino-inc.

We'll need to make sure the auto-tracking is enabled in the QuickBooks mobile app. Let me guide you on how:

On iOS (iPhone and iPad):

  1. Open the QuickBooks mobile app.
  2. Click the menu ☰ icon and tap All.
  3. Select Mileage and hit Auto-track your mileage.
  4. Follow Allow location access on-screen instructions.

On an Android phone or tablet:

  1. Click the menu ☰ icon.
  2. Select Mileage.
  3. Turn on the Auto-tracking switch.
  4. Give QuickBooks permission to track your location. Select Allow. If prompted, tap Allow all the time.
  5. If you are prompted to allow access to your physical activity, press Allow.
  6. For Android OS version 11 and above:
    • For location permissions, select While using the app, then tap Ok (if prompted). Then click Allow all the time.
    • If you are prompted to allow access to your physical activity, press Allow.

Next, check the general location settings on your phone or tablet to confirm that the QuickBooks mobile app can run in the background. You can follow the steps and details in this article: Fix mileage tracking issues in the mobile app. If the issue persists, follow the troubleshooting steps outlined in the provided article.

Pretty sure there is still an issue outside of the usual fixes.

I appreciate the efforts you’ve put into troubleshooting the mileage tracking issue, anavaino-inc.

Since the issue continues, I recommend updating your QuickBooks mobile app to the latest version. This update includes important enhancements and fixes that can improve mileage tracking functionality.

To update your mobile app, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app on your device.
  2. Tap your profile icon on the home screen.
  3. Select Manage apps & device.
  4. Choose the Manage tab.
  5. Select the Updates available filter.
  6. Find the QuickBooks Online mobile app, and select the checkbox. Then select the update icon.

You can also follow Google's steps to update your app.

If the issue persists after updating, I suggest following Step 7: Update your device, as outlined in the article Fix mileage tracking issues in the mobile app.
