Could you specify the issue you encountered while using the QuickBooks Online mobile app on your iPhone? Providing this information will help us resolve the problem more effectively.

 

In some cases, issues with the mobile app can arise due to cached data preventing it from loading new information. To address this, try logging out of the app and then logging back in. It refreshes the app and retrieves updated information.

 

To further optimize the app’s functionality, follow these steps:

 

  1. Open your device’s Settings and tap General.
  2. Select iPhone Storage, then locate the QBO app.
  3. Tap the Offload App to free up storage and refresh its performance.


Alternatively, you can access QuickBooks Online through a web browser on your mobile device to upload receipts.

Anyone having trouble with the QB iphone app?

YES!! We recently started using Workforce for time tracking and I've had two employees show me their mobile app and they cannot edit their out time when creating a time entry. Android version has day & time options for both the Start time and the End time, but on iPhones, they can edit the day in only one place, then they can edit the start time, but not the end time. The end time is permanently stuck on the current time.

 

Workaround is to use the "duration" tab instead of the time tab, but it is horribly cumbersome!

All the settings are correct, i.e. nothing has changed on our end but suddenly at least 2 people are having this problem

 

We have tried re-installing the app, re-starting the phone, etc.

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select the Search tab, then choose Contact Us.
  3. Type in your issue or concern in the field.
  4. Hit Continue.
  5. Click the Chat or Callback option.

Yes I have all my staff who have an iPhone and have done the update the app from last week reporting the same issue.  I also have the app and I have the exact same issue.  Causing us immediate problems with staff can accurately make time entries or edit past entries as the end time is not editable or changeable.

I have reported the issue on the app and also on the Quickbooks site.  I have deleted the app and reinstalled  I did the thing with the iphone storage.  This is a issue with the app update from last week because I have users who have not updated their app and they do not have an issue.

A better answer would have been that you have escalated this within QB. As others have said, this is related to an iPhone update last week, so any of my team calling in is a waste of their time, since it clearly needs to be corrected at the software level.

I can also confirm it is because of the app update last week.  Any of my iOS users who have done the update can not edit or even pick the end time when saving their time sheet.  Those users who did not do the update are not having issues.

So I tried to but not a great experience to report the problem.  Within the app, I selected Help and then used the Call Us option. It took about 10 minutes to reach a representative, complete verification, and explain the situation. The rep then placed me on hold to contact their technical team.

After waiting 43 minutes, the rep returned and told me this is an issue for the Workforce App team and that each of my staff experiencing the problem would need to call in individually. I explained that the phone number I used came directly from the app and questioned whether it is reasonable to expect multiple staff members to spend their personal time waiting nearly 50 minutes on hold to report the same issue.

I am now trying to find a way to contact the Workforce App team directly. The rep said they would send me the appropriate link, but I have not received it yet.

Yes!  I cannot edit the clock out time on the app.  It’s super-frustrating because I don’t always remember to clock out exactly when I leave.  Never had an issue with it until this most recent update to the app (on Jan. 22, 2026).  It definitely needs to get fixed!
