I resently noticed that when entering a bill or expene that I now have to double click to enter the category. I never had to before, it was always a single click. Why is it doing this? It really is annoying.
Hi there Charlie_17,
It's vital that all your transactions be entered correctly so that your books can be well balanced. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you keep track of bills and expenses so that they can be viewed through various reports. I can provide some information about creating transactions.
When creating transactions, if you click on a line item to add either a category or an item, the first click activates the drop-down menu to choose a product or an account, but in order to activate the text box to search that list, it does require a second click. I can see that you'd like the entire process to take one click. I recommend leaving feedback in the system by clicking on the Gear icon, then Feedback. The comments made in that section are taken into consideration by our developers when planning future updates to QuickBooks Online.

So this is something new. I have been using QBO for many years and have never had to double click before. I am not a huge fan of the online platform to begin with. Then you make changes that does not improve the program. I seriously look into changing back to desktop. Much better product.
I hear you on this. Your feedback is valuable to us and I recommend sending it to our engineering team using the steps provided above. In the meantime, feel free to ask other questions, I'm here to assist.
