Cannot activate premium 2017 on a new computer

We have two licenses for Quickbooks 2017 Premium but have been using one only for several years.

 

Recently we try to install the software on a secondary computer but after installing successfully, we cannot take any actions like opening a company file without being asked to activate quickbooks. Once click "begin activate" button on the activation page, we are redirected to the Intuit Account - Sign In page, and it simply stuck there. the circle keeps turning as if it is not able to reach the server.

 

Overall I have two questions: 

1. why do I have to activate again after the code was put in when installing?

2. any thoughts on why I can't get past the sing in page would be appreciated (windows firewalls are turned off and no antivirus software installed)

Hi @4Gal thank you for the reply! I called the number provided by @Trish_T and the customer support gave me the code. It is activated now.

Before you get started, you'll want to ensure your computer meets the system requirements.  Next, you'll need to download your version of QuickBooks Desktop, and save the file where you can easily locate it.  Once the installation is complete, QuickBooks will prompt you to activate. You can activate it manually by following the steps here.

Where did you take the screenshot? Can you share the website?

Chat Support and ask the activation code. If they refuse, you can use the trial version as a workaround.
