Sync with Square finally stopped working, so we have had to migrate to Connect with Square-
where we used to have invoices and payments and the taxes came across correctly. Now all the taxes on every transaction since Connect with Square are random, make zero sense adn are completely wrong.
Taxes are set up, the only thing sold are "square items" and all have GST/PST. whle the total of the taxes is correct the split is inaccurate - the best one is GST at 8.8% and PST at 3.1%.
it is going to be a nightmare to track and post and correct every transaction manually. Any ideas on how to get the taxes to come across accurately??
Connect to Square is a free app and offers limited functionality. Consider having a third-party paid app with reliable features.
Thanks for reaching out to us about this syncing issue with Connect with Square, @Hedg.
QuickBooks serves as a receiving channel for your Square transactions and the way these entries are downloaded depends on the connected app. You'll need to consult Square directly to get help with data transfers to our software.
If the tax information are off, trying a different application would work as suggested by Fiat Lux - ASIA. We have lots of tools you can choose from in our apps site. Here's the link to our site: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home
We also have another forum called Intuit Developers, where you can find engineers who can recommend third-party applications for you to use. In this website, you can connect with people who can help with app integrations, take part in software developments and innovate business tools for QuickBooks.
Here's the link to the website: Intuit Developers Community.
Feel free to get back to us if there's anything else you need help with. I'll be glad to help you at any time. Have a nice day!
